Written and directed by Marco Ghelardi, this award-winning Italian language play tells the story of how the North Italian town of Savona got it’s first theatre. Set in the seventeenth century, Camilla played the role of Sobrana, a prostitute who inspires the noble women of the town to fight for what they believe in. The highly comic role also involved Camilla dressing up as a Nun and calling herself Santa Prostituta Virgine!
Since it’s premiere at Piazza San Marco and Il Priamar in Savona, Italy, the production has not only returned for repeat seasons, but toured other parts of Italy and ventured as far as Holland.
